Let me preface by saying, I agree that it was stopped too soon. That being said I can see the other side of it as well. His eye really looked bad, and that early in the fight was surprising. Also,
show spoilerreally did hold back his right hand when he had a chance to land it as he stood over him.
Again, that being said, the fight should have continued.
UFC Fight Night...uh, I don't remember the number, but the last one with Siver vs McGreggor, I thought was pretty good. The Henderson/Cerrone fight was pretty even and entertaining. I am not a McGregor fan, but he absolutely dominated Siver. I actually felt bad for Siver, I mean to think that you are supposed to be the 10th best fighter in the WORLD at your weight and to get totally pwned like that. It would make me rethink my career choice. :D I hope the Aldo/McGreggor fight will be entertaining.
EDIT: Just finished watching.
Jones must be so happy now. I honestly think Gustaffson could have (and did!) beat him, but now that is WAY on the back burner. I don't think Johnson will be much of a challenge for Jones. I was actually surprised that Cormier looked so ineffective against Jones and Johnson is just going to be in the same vein. As far as the stoppage was concerned, I disagree with Cormier. I don't' think it went too long. Johnson got in three or four good solid punches at the end and I don't think you could have or should have stopped it at less.
I am looking forward to Silva coming back this Saturday, though I have to admit, for a PPV card, it looks kinda weak. I also don't like Hendo at 185, he looks so anemic, though in my opinion he needs to retire. Maybe take a fight against one of the ring girls and hopefully beat her and go out on a win. :D It hurts to watch such a dominant fighter get old. :(
Not a palindrome but I thought it was different enough to be included in this thread.
Wow, without a computer for 2 months....and no KAT..... Anyway, glad to be back and glad that this thread is still up and running. I am kinda enjoying the new season. I am a HUGE Red fan, not so much Lizzie. And I still maintain Tom can be a really interesting bad guy if the writers will let him.
I still have a hard time believing that Lizzie had enough time between Tom getting shot, them going outside, and then coming back in, to secret Tom away somewhere.
I am really hoping Tom gets away and that Berlin still has a bigger role to play. Red really needs an arch nemesis to make this story continue its tension. The Red/Lizzie thing is, at least in my humble opinion, getting annoying more than intriguing. I like the fact they brought Red's ex in, and her husband turned out to be a dog. And Pee Wee Herman....who doesn't love Pee Wee?!?
I am so glad this show is back, but I can't believe there are only two episodes left in the Fall part of the show.

My favourite part of the article is the end where they drop the tidbit about the Jones/Cormier tiff...as if one thing has anything to do with the other. (facepalm) lol.
That was some powerful drama.
The best episode so far, along with episode 3.
I agree; this show is getting better and better. So intense. All the naysayers just don't get it, and that's cool- they're entitled to their opinion. This show is not about the event- its about human nature and how people would deal with such an event. Great drama; top notch. If I wasn't a fan before this episode, I would definitely be one now.
I'm still a naysayer, (I want to know where the people have gone!), but I have to admit the episodes are intriguing and I am entertained!
Do we know how many more episodes are left in the season? Is it going to be just a summer thing?
Awesome opening scene! Did not see that coming. I still like the Reverend, he made this episode for me. "I say f$%# too." lmao.
Liv Tyler is the next one that needs to get that opening scene done.
A really good episode. I was hooked throughout wondering what was coming next.
I *Conor McGregor* think *Conor McGregor* Conor McGregor *Conor McGregor* should *Conor McGregor* be *Conor McGregor* heavyweight *Conor McGregor* champion *Conor McGregor* of *Conor McGregor* the *Conor McGregor* world, *Conor McGregor* even *Conor McGregor* if *Conor McGregor* that *Conor McGregor* isn't *Conor McGregor* his *Conor McGregor* weight *Conor McGregor* class.
Seriously, that was one of the best events I have seen. The fights were great and the crowd was uber awesome! I am proud to be a wannabe Irish bandwagon jumper. As a Canuck I love the Canadian crowds, but I have to admit that Irish crowd was one of the best if not the best I have heard for a UFC event!
I am currently watching Brown vs Lawler but I wanted to give my two cents on
- Gus injured and out of fight against Jon Jones. DC brought in to replace him. I expect plenty of trash talk from DC leading up to that fight
- Belfort granted license to fight by NSAC. Looks like Weidman/Belfort will go ahead. Not sure how I feel about that as I'm not a big fan of either
Last one first, I hadn't heard about the Belfort thing, but I have been on the Belfort bandwagon since he came back so I want him to do well even off the TRT.
As for Cormier/Jones, it's a fight I would like to see, but I really really wanted it to happen after Gus/Jones because I think Cormier is going to destroy Jones. Cormier is a big guy who really should be fighting at the heavyweight level, and the way he threw around Henderson, I don't see much Jones can do against him unless he stays away and tries to use his reach and sharp elbows. I think it will be a decent fight, though I definitely see Cormier punishing Jones.
I feel bad for Gus as I was in the camp that thought he beat Jones. He really hasn't had a good break since then. I guess he would get his shot against Cormier afterwards, but it doesn't have the same ring to it.
Any word on Silva and when he is due back? I wonder who his first opponent would be.
